Detailed Description
1.Product Introduction
The KWL800 radar water level sensor is a sensor developed by our company for water level and liquid level measurement. It can also be used to measure the distance of solid materials. The maximum protection rating of the device can reach IP68. The sensor provides optional 4-20 mA output and relay output. Communication interfaces include RS485 or UART, and it uses the standard Modbus RTU protocol. The product has a maximum measuring range of up to 20 m, with a minimum blind zone of 6 cm.
2.Product Features
• Self-developed RF chip
• Uses FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) technology
• Millimeter-wave signal with strong penetration, suitable for complex environments
• Compact device size with metric mounting thread, easy to install
• Measuring range up to 20 m
• Beam angle less than 3°
• PTFE housing, resistant to corrosion

6.Installation Instructions
1. Device Unpacking Inspection
• After receiving the product, check whether the packaging is intact. Remove the device from the package and verify that all accessories are complete.
• Carefully read the product manual.
• Check whether the device appearance is damaged.
If any problems are found, please contact us immediately for assistance.
2. Installation Environment Inspection
• Check whether there are any objects interfering within the beam angle directly below the device.
• As shown in the figure, after installation, the electromagnetic waves emitted by the device should be perpendicular to the measured surface.

3. Installation Method
As shown in the figure below, fix the product onto the mounting bracket.

7.Precautions
• The sensor installation position should be as stable as possible to avoid vibration, and the environment below the sensor should be as open as possible.
• The minimum distance between the sensor and the measured liquid surface should be greater than 30 cm.
• The distance between the sensor and the edge of the tank, pool, or riverbank should be greater than 0.5 m.
• Select a location where the water surface fluctuation is small to install the sensor, in order to avoid reduced measurement accuracy or abnormal measurements caused by water surface waves.
